The Tourist

It feels great to be doing this! The Tourist is the first in a line of releases we’re launching the band with. James and Dan wrote this song from a flat on Queenstown Road, a few months after starting to put it all together. It was written quickly, and when the whole band started rehearsing it seemed to be the one that stuck as defining the band’s initial sound. Clocking in at a mere 2:37 ‘The Tourist’ is no slouch, but it’s catchy chorus and chiming guitar jangle sticks around longer after.

We shot a music video for the song in Brick Lane, London, and our old fateful haunt Mile End - back where it all started for Jim and Dan. The video flips between London and New York, birthplace of Meseroles, and follows each of us on various boozy nights out we’ve had over the years. It’s meta upon meta, and was incredible fun to make!

Back with more releases very soon.
